Daily Dino Fact – Liopleuridon: The cutest dinosaur ever

Q: What was the cutest dinosaur? -shadowflyer
A: This is a hard question to answer considering there are so many of them, but I’d say the cutest dinosaur was the liopleurodon. The liopleurodon technically isn’t a dinosaur because it lived under the water, but it was the mightiest of predators in the Mesozoic. They are estimated to have grown to about 25m (82ft).
Nothing was safe from the liopleuridon’s mammoth jaws, and it is even speculated that it could have eaten dinosaurs by snatching them up from the shore. Their paddle-like limbs reached to 3m (9ft) and made them powerful swimmers with quick acceleration. They had a heigtened sense of smell and were very effective ambush hunters.
These magical creatures were arguably the greatest predators of all-time. No wonder, they were so stinking cute their prey never knew what hit ‘em!
