Daily Dino Fact: Dinosaur life spans still a mystery
Q: Which dino had the longest life? - NARUTO_KAKASHI
A: It is very difficult to determine the life span of any dinosaur. Many complications are involved in trying to estimate how long dinosaurs lived. For example, some dinosaurs grew at extremely rapid rates. Hadrosaurs could gain literally tons of weight over a dozen years. Other dinosaurs grew at slower rates. When looking at the fossil record, complications and estimates like this make judging their life spans incredibly difficult.
For the sake of answering your question though, some estimates have apatosaurus having the longest life span at 100 years. The apatosaurus is what used to be referred to as brontosaurus, but paleontologists do not use that term anymore.

Nope, no joke. It’s very possible that they could have lived even longer. Consider the bowhead whale that lives today.. some have lived up to 211 years old.

Why do paleontologists change the name of dinos?
Thanks,
