Hey dinos! Earlier today I was walking through Buckland’s Peak and Spike just popped up out of nowhere!  I thought for a moment that I was going to be the next dino captured.   Spike gave me some information about his plans for this weekend.  He had the nerve to say that all Webosaurs were slow moving and weak,  that no one could dodge his monster’s attacks.  His ultimate plan is to cover the entire island in ink!

So, this weekend Sand Surfing is the Battle Training game.  You can find Sand Surfing on Dino Dunes.  This weekend, you will earn extra experience points and coins!  But watch out for Spike, he will be returning to the island to try to stop the training.  I think part of him is a bit nervous that we will be able to defeat him!!!

Stretch is CAPTURED!!!

Hey gang, I’ve got terrible news… Spike has CAPTURED Stretch! Spike has decided to start picking off the Webosaurs one-by-one!!! I always thought Spike’s giant ego would keep him attempting to attack everyone at once, but his new strategy is to capture everyone while they are alone so that they are more vulnerable, poor Stretch was his first victim! Spike has announced that he is going to attack once every two hours beginning between 17:00 – 21:00 WST on Friday, continuing the onslaught on Saturday between 9:00 – 16:00 WST and on Sunday between 8:00 – 12:00 WST!!!

We’ve got to beat Okvango back, banish Spike and rescue Stretch. I plan on seeing everyone on the Island around 13:00 WST to welcome Stretch back from captivity! Whichever FIVE dinos make it onto the Monster Board the most times over the weekend will receive this limited edition Dead Stretch Cave Item! See you there!

ModosaurWHOOO???

Hey gang, some of you may know that it’s Webosaurs’ Anniversary this weekend and we’re going to have an old school blowout to celebrate. We’ll be partying on Saturday and Sunday, but that’s not all… We’re also going to give out batches of XP for everyone that can hit Spike with the mighty Pumpkin. What better way to begin celebrating Halloween than by throwing a big, juicy, goo-filled pumpkin at everyone’s favorite nemesis… Spike! All you have to do is get a picture of Spike with pumpkin guts on him and send it to me. It can be a comment on this blog post or it can be posted on the Forum here, but whoever posts those photos will get 500 XP (participants can post more than one photo for more XP as long as Spike is in a different landscape each time).

We’ll also be celebrating Webosaurs Island in a major way! We’ll be celebrating at 12:00 WST on Saturday and 14:00 WST on Sunday! Both of these parties will be happening in Rumble Rocks Cave (because it’s a Spike-Free zone) and everyone who attends will receive this awesome Anniversary Cake! There will also be some old-school special guests, don’t miss it!

Get in on the FUN!

Hey gang, check it out! There is a new group forming on the Island! The Webosaurs Spies - these guys are serious about keeping Spike and Okvango off Webosaurs Island and it looks like they’re doing a good job! I think the Webosaurs Spies have even figured out how to have a Spike-free Anniversary Party this weekend, which should be a nice change of pace, but more on that later.

Here’s how the Webosaurs Spies work: any Webo Spies that catch Spike sneaking around the Island, Okvango attacking or any activity that seems suspicious needs to report their findings to a moderator. If they are successful in stopping Spike’s attack or they find some very useful information they’ll be rewarded by having their name featured on the homepage in the new News Section. Whomever reports the most useful information for the Webosaurs Spies over the next couple of months will be the first to receive a new Webosaurs Spies Badge and will become the first official member of the group! Stay tuned and keep an eye out for trouble. See you on the Island!

It looks like the Webosaurs Spies have cracked the code! I’m excited that they were able to figure out what it says, but it doesn’t sound like it’s good news! After a long night of deciphering it was determined that this is an alphanumeric code, each letter is represented by numbers (A=01, B=02 etc.)! If you unscramble the letters it reads:

STRIKE TIMES

FRIDAY – 17:30

SATURDAY – 10:00 & 13:00

SUNDAY – 11:00 & 14:00

Does this mean what I think it means? Is he attacking the Gushing Geyser at these times? I’m not convinced that it’s not a trap, what if he just WANTS us to think he’s attacking at these times? Whatever is happening we had better be prepared for serious action from our old “friend” Spike. See you on the Island (I hope!).

Defend the Geyser!

Hey gang, a special report from one of our Webosaurs Spies – Spike will be attacking the Gushing Geyser all weekend!! I’m not sure how the Spies got the info., you’ll have to ask them, but they were the first to break the news that Spike will be in the Gushing Geyser attacking tomorrow, Friday October 7th around 17:15 WST and again on Saturday at 11:00 WST.

The Webosaurs Spies is a new group that has been forming on the Island in an effort to track Spike and keep an eye on him. I’m not sure who they are exactly, they’re very mysterious, but I do know that they have teamed up with Linus and have sworn an oath to defeat Spike. Will you join the Spies? Will you get the intel on Spike? Keep an eye on Spike this weekend and report any sightings or activities to a Moderator and you could have your name on the homepage in the News Section! Get ready to stand strong and don’t let Spike and Okvango destroy the Geyser!!

Hey gang, from what I hear it was a WILD weekend on Webosaurs Island. Spike is back in full force and unfortunately for us he’s released his beastly monster Okvango onto the Island! Have you seen the Gushing Geyser?? There’s a cork in it for crying out loud, that is NOT okay. We’ve got to figure out how to get these guys out of here! I think it’s going to take everyone figuring out how to battle Okvango to banish him, not to mention leveling up and getting better ammo! Teamwork is key!

If you were on Webosaurs this weekend you might have also met Linus! Linus is awesome (unless you’re on Team Spike) and he will show you how to spy on Spike and sabotage his plans. Starting in two weeks Linus will have a new quest each week as he tracks Spike’s movements and tries to foil all of his plans!

You may have also notice that there were a lot of bugs – and not the creepy crawly kind – on Webosaurs this weekend. If you find any bugs and want to report them, please do so as a comment on this post, it would be greatly appreciated! Keep an eye out for the latest and greatest on Webosaurs, there’s going to be a lot changing very rapidly over the next month so make sure you don’t miss out on the excitement! It's my time now!

That’s right WEBOSAURS, I’ve broken into the blog and am currently ALONE on the Island. In just a few short hours your precious Webosaurs Island will be changed FOREVER. As you’ll soon see, my loyal creature Okvango is about to escape and his first order of business is going to be to destroy your silly Gushing Geyser, that geyser will never flow again as long as I am in charge!

*Yawn* This take-over thing has been so much easier than I thought! You little Webosaurs aren’t even going to try to protect your Island? Go ahead I dare you - try to challenge us, even all of you together are no match for Okvango and me!

As for you – Stretch, Pterry, Horns and Rexxy – I’ll be waiting in the newly remodeled Gushing Geyser at 17:00 WST this Friday for you to come and surrender. See you then!

Zing – A – Rock is game of the week!  Grab your sling shot and the smoothest rocks you can find and head over to Prairie Pool.  Try to aim for the center of the bullseyes to get the maximum amount of points.  The more points you get the more coins you earn at the end.  While you are at Prairie Pool, stop off for a quick and refreshing dip in the pool or play in the water fall.  You also could go into Rolling Hills Chamber to play some soccer.  There also is some totally awesome webosodes to check out along with Wookey Lanes nearby.

The Modosaur Staff has been hearing some talk lately from players.   Some of you, think you are better at games then us.  We have decided that this Saturday and Sunday, its time to prove it!  Modosaurs will be given coin codes to be given away as prizes.   If you win against a Modosaur during a game challenge, you will be given a coin code on the spot. Only one code per Modosaur challenge, please.  You are welcome to win again when another Modosaur Challenge is announced.

Modosaur challenges will be announced to everyone at random times  and places throughout the weekend.  Be ready.  Each challenge will only last for a short period of  time.  You don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to earn some totally awesome coin codes and get bragging rights on winning against a Modosaur (or two.)

Who knows, perhaps one of the Webosaurs will come out of the secret room for a challenge.  You know, Horns can’t pass up Power Lifting challenges and Stretch sure loves to play Dance Party.
