Hey gang, we haven’t had an official Webosaurs Contest in a while… well it’s time for that to change! This contest is an ITEM DESCRIPTION contest! It’s simple – 1. Pick an item from your cave – it can be any cave item! 2. Give it a name 3. Write a very short, one sentence description. That’s it! Example: Icey Surfboard – Icey Surfboard lets you surf either waves or slopes in complete style! The prize for the best Item Description is TWO FREE MONTHS of a Webosaurs Subscription! Dinos can name and describe as many different items as they want! Even if you don’t win the grand prize, if you make a great name and provide an excellent description your words could make their way into Webosaurs! All dinos and future dinos will read your item descriptions! No items are off limits. What we need is an item image, a name and a description. You can post them as comments on this blog or post on the Webosaurs Forum and provide a link to it on this blog post. All dinos have until next Friday 8/19 to turn in their submissions! Get to it!

Nooooooooooooo!!! He's BACK

Uh ohhhh this is going to be an interesting weekend! I’ve heard some very interesting rumors that you-know-who has been lurking around the Island… Keep an eye out for him this week, but before we get into that whole mess, we’ve got some other business to attend to!

This Friday at 17:00 WST Moon will be waiting for dinos in the Jurassic Fort in Webo Ridge. When she’s ready she will release to the Webosaurs Blog our latest and greatest contest. I’m keeping quiet on the details of this contest, but the due date for all entries is MIDNIGHT on Monday Night. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be at the party on Friday to enter the contest, but you will be racing against the clock to finish the contest ahead of everyone else. There will be only one winner (except in the event of a tie) and that winner will receive the soon to be SUPER-rare item: Mechanical Dino

Sunday is going to be a very different kind of day… I sense a dark gloom being cast over Webosaurs Island. I always get a bad feeling when a certain someone is lurking around… Anyway, for better or worse SPIKE will be coming back to Webosaurs Island this Sunday at 14:00 WST. As usual, I’m not sure what he wants… It’s been so long since we’ve seen him, maybe he’s changed his tune and is in the mood for a friendly visit? Who knows, one thing’s for sure, I won’t be anywhere near Webosaurs Island when that guy is around. He smells kind of bad, doesn’t he? If you MUST see Spike make sure you go to Sub-Alpine Forest at 14:00 WST!

Hey gang, if you were present at last week’s Blogosaur Meetings you will know that I announced a new Blogosaur Contest that is going to be going on this week and next week. Well here it is… The contest is simple. Write a blog post about either what you think is going to happen in the New Webosaurs OR what you’d LIKE to see happen in the New Webosaurs. Very simple, blog posts should be about one page long, they don’t need to be novels, just normal blog posts. Everyone will have about a two weeks to work on these blog posts and we’re looking for very creative ideas. To be fair MasterMarksy will be judging all of the blog posts and selecting the winner WITHOUT looking at any of the names attached to them.

Now here’s the best part, the winner of this Blogosaur Contest is going to receive a free 6 Month Membership. If you’re not a member, this will be yours to enjoy and if you are already a member you can hang onto it in case you need it later or give it away to a good Webosaurs friend of yours. Hey gang, you may be aware that we recently started having weekly Blogosaur Meetings on Fridays to discuss Blog related issues and to talk to dinos about how to become a Blogosaur. Well, we are going to continue to do this and have Blogosaur Meetings every Friday. This week we will be having both normal Blogosaur meetings… but also I’ll be announcing our next epic BLOGOSAUR CONTEST! Don’t worry, if you can’t make the meeting there will be an official Blog Post about the contest, but if you want to hear about it first, don’t miss these meetings!

Now THAT'S a cave item!

Hey gang, it’s time for our next big Webosaurs Contest! This week, we’re going to be designing our very own cave items! Our very own pal PERcY suggested the idea so make sure you thank old Percy-perc. Everyone will have a week to submit their most creative designs for a cave item and the winning item will be sent to our artists for a touch up and then turned into a cave item that we will give away with a scavenger hunt! How cool is that??? If your item is the winner, everyone who completes the scavenger hunt will have your item in their caves! We’ve got some wacky cave items coming out this month and we’re looking for creativity in all of the items that you all design. After you all submit your item designs, we will post them on the blog and put them up for a vote. The item with the most votes will be declared the winner and will make its way into the game. I’m so excited to see how creative we all can get and which item will win! If you have any questions leave them as comments and I’ll answer them! Woot, now get designing! Mwahahahaha, I can’t stop laughing after reading and judging all of these amazing comics! Horns, Pterry and I just sat back with a big bucket of popcorn and went through the comics, we judged them one by one and let me say that not one of us can stop cracking up! Amazing work by everyone that submitted a comic. I can’t believe how funny some of them are! There were all different types of comics so Pterry and Horns came up with a couple of different categories to have winners in. Congrats to everyone, but especially our winners. Remember winners will receive a very special trophy designed by Webosaurs’ very own Walnut sometime next week. Keep up the amazing (and creative) work! And now the winners…

Congrats to everyone that entered our Blog Entry Contest! I am the real winner because I got the opportunity to read so many amazing entries! I knew that we had some seriously talented bloggers out there on Webosaurs Island, but I had no idea just how talented you all were! The poetry was the biggest and best surprise for me, in allowing so much literary freedom I expected to see a lot of blog entries and stories, but I never imagined to read so much great poetry. It was just all very well written and everyone should be very proud of themselves!

With that being said, allow me to announce the winners!! Well you probably already know if you’ve been following the polls, but the winners are JohnnyNitro for his poem and Sludge for his blog entry.
