Hey guys,

So about a week ago we asked you to submit ideas for what kind of pet you’d like to see next. Here I’ve narrowed down the list to just a few, and wanted to get a feel for what you like the most. Some might not be completely doable (like liopleurodon, which is a sea creature), but we are exploring all options. So give it a vote and tell us what you think!

Pet Shop can be found in the Understory Layer

Hey dinos! Been wanting to pick up a pet for yourself but have found them to be too expensive so far? Or do you have a porcupine and have been wanting to trade in for a Little Fang? Now is the perfect time to do so because we just slashed the prices for all pets!! To use really dorky advertising terms, this is the sale of the century! Previously priced at 7000 coins you can now get a pet for only 3000.

We have more than enough of these critters running around in the Food and Poo’d Pet Shop and they all need homes. Head to the Understory Layer (or unlock it if you haven’t already) to get to the pet shop. Pets are members only so if you still need to get a membership you can pick one up here. Enjoy your new pet!

The winners for the Pet Shop Contest are IN!

Congratulations to JohnnyNitro for his “Food and Poo’d” submission which came in first place with 131 votes in the final round. He wins a 1-year membership and has the honor of the Pet Shop being renamed “Food and Poo’d Pet Shop.” Hilarious!

Also congratulations to Earthbound and Zitio who win 5000 coins each for their “Paws ‘n’ Claws” and “Creature Corner” submissions which came in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Party at the Pet Shop, w00t!

To kick off our weekend update extravaganza, Chrisdog is going to be throwing a party this Friday at 17:30 WST to celebrate the launch of PETS. Better save up your coins now so you have a pet ready to rock and roll for the party.

Chrisdog will be hanging at the Understory Layer and the Pet Shop to show off his new pet too… I wonder which one he’ll get? Let’s just hope it doesn’t bite anyone!! We’ll also be jumping in the brand new Understory Layer game… Trouble in the Treetops!!

Even better, everyone who comes to the party will receive a special Chrisdog Pet Food Bowl to put in their caves, check it out!

We're all anxious to take home our pets!

Hey guys! Ever since we launched the Understory Layer along with the Pet Shop, we know you’ve been excited to get your hands on the pets inside. We’re happy to tell you that we are very close to making this a reality! Wanted to fill you in on a little information about our upcoming pet launch:

* Be able to name your pet

* You’ll need to take care of your pet to keep them happy by giving them baths and feeding them

* Your pet will be able to do a range of actions (including pooping!)

* Take your pet out around the Island to show off your little buddy

* Your pet will play with the ball in your member’s cave

* Pets are members only!

* At first you will be able to have one pet, but in the future you’ll be able to have more than one

Remember guys, this is only the very beginning of the pets! We plan on making lots of fun things that you can use to play with your pet including more toys and abilities. This is going to be so cool!!

The next step is adding the pets to the testing site. Blogosaurs will be able to test the pets out first to make sure that we’ve gotten them just right for you! Soon after we will make them available for purchase in the Pet Shop.

Yo Broceratopsians! We just released a big ol’ update today for you guys. See that new area up above? Yeah, that’s the Understory Layer… and it rulez. In it you’ll find the new pet shop and the Giant Umbrella, a brand new restaurant. The pets aren’t available for purchase yet, but you can see them running around in their pens!

You can’t just walk into this place though… Dr. Nanosaurus had the password but Pterry accidently blew it up. You’ll have to collect letters hidden throughout the island and then arrange them in order if you want to get inside. Read more about the quest when you click on the main Understory Layer entrance in the Forest Floor.
