Crazy fun at the Chrisdog WeboGames party

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

What a great party in Webosaurs tonight! Chrisdog came by for a couple hours to hang out at Webo Ridge, chat and throw down on some Snowball Skirmish. I’m sure at some point we had plans to leave Webo Ridge but it was so much fun that we ended up staying there the whole time!

It was awesome to get in on some WeboGames action with our good friend Chrisdog. I’m guessing the Snowball Skirmish leaderboards got a little bit tougher tonight, eh?

More than a few of our regulars are consistent posters on the forum and we’d love to see more of you join the conversation. We’re always reading!

It’s time yet again for another hilariously awesome Comedy Night at the Lizard Lounge! Each dino will get a chance to get up on stage and tell one joke to the rest of the crowd. After all the laughs are over our guest judges will pick the three funniest and they will earn cheesy trophies! It’s not all about the winners though, Comedy Night is one of the most fun times to be had in Webosaurs. [Holiday/Winter themed jokes please]

Horns, Rexxy, Pterry and Stretch at the Bluggin’ Beach Bunker

Saturday - December 12th - 12:00 WST - Jurassic Server

One of the cool new features we released with Jungle Beach was the addition of the member’s only VIP room. All four Webosaurs characters will be on hand for the Grand Opening of the Bluggin’ Beach Bunker. This party is gonna rock!

December scavenger hunts - ALL MONTH

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

December scavenger hunt madness has begun. The new hunts started yesterday and will continue every single day throughout December. There will be new items every day ranging from the sweet (Snow pile, snowflake) to the majorly awesome (Golden armor display case, surfboard made of ice).

Members can win the coolest prizes in the December scavenger hunts

Everyone will get a chance to hunt down an item each day, but the majorly awesome holiday items will be member’s only. Each day will be a brand new hunt with new items and new questions. We want to mix the themes up a bit so feel free to send us suggestions for question themes that everyone could enjoy.

Scavenger hunts start at the clocktower

Scavenger hunts start at the clocktower

If you haven’t played them already, each scavenger hunt begins at the Gushing Geyser clocktower. Click on the egg to get started. The hunt will ask you a question and if you answer correctly (proper spelling please!) the egg will give you a clue to where the next one can be found. Once you’ve answered the question on the final egg it will award you a prize!

Happy December everyone and HAPPY HUNTING!

New Treefort basketball game launched

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009
He shoots... he scores!

"Pass the Rock" gets new meaning as we take B-Ball to the Prehistoric

Okay, so I know some of you out there are mad b-ballers with crazy skills. Even for those who aren’t, the new Treefort game lets you take the rock to the hoop with your friends in the hottest Webosaurs update this week so far.

The game is pretty simple, click the rock to take control. You can move it anywhere around the screen. If you want to shoot, click on the hoop while you have possession of the ball. Time your shot right and and you’ll put it through the basket! This game shows up for everyone in the room so only one person can have the ball at a time.

Head over to the Treefort in the Croc Peninsula to play this awesome new game for yourself!

Daily Dino Fact: Sauropods, the friendly dinosaurs

Monday, November 30th, 2009
We could crush you but... let's just hang for now

We could crush you but... let's just hang out for now

Okay so a few days ago Hornstrkier and Eddysaur asked pretty much the same question. What was the nicest/least fearsome dinosaur?

A: While it might be argued that the Sauropod dinosaurs would have been fearsome because of their size (up to 60ft tall) these guys were the gentle giants of the Mesozoic. One footstep would flatten you like a pancake but they would probably step out of your way than crush you.

Of course, what I’m saying is complete speculation. Keep this in mind though, they were vegetarians. Being as large as they were, they needed to eat a lot of trees. Most likely they were more occupied with destroying forests than hurting living creatures. Plus, we all know Stretch is the chillest dude around. What else do you need?

So I pose the question to all of you. Do you agree with me? If not, who do you think was the friendliest dinosaur?

Game of the Week - Shoo Bug

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Head on over to the Soggy Bottom Swamp to get down on this week’s GAME OF THE WEEK! We quietly snuck Shoo Bug back into the site a few days ago and now we’re pumping in some fat coins for those of you brave enough to challenge these pesky little critters.

Use the bug smacker to annihilate hordes of bugs coming your way. Ants, beetles, cockroaches and more are all fair game. Make it far enough and you can challenge the Scorpion Master for a bug battle of the ages.
